Devlog #23: Quedula UI design process
Our team doesn't have a dedicated designer. This imposes constraints but also gives a certain freedom.
We used a ready-made UI library as the foundation and spent time choosing a good one — with pleasant default typography, color scheme, and components. This saved weeks of work.
For each new screen we make a simple wireframe in any convenient tool. Not a high-fidelity mockup — just a sketch with element placement. This lets us quickly discuss structure before writing code.
The main rule we have: don't add an element if it's unclear why it's needed. A clean interface with fewer options is better than a cluttered one.
